You Only Output What You Input

You Only Output What You Input

October 27, 2020 Posted by John Barrett

You Only Output What You Input

What you input is what you will output. You cannot give what you do not have. If you want to get great, you have to engulf yourself with greatness.

Highly successful and innovative people are consumers of ideas, information, and growth opportunities. They have an unquenchable desire for MORE! More is what drives people to push on to continual growth. When you stop growing, you stop producing. Your production rate will be equivalent to the rate of your growth. What you input within your mind is what you will output with your work.

Here are some things to think about when it comes to inputting…

1. Input The Right Stuff

If you want to produce apples don’t plant for oranges. You produce what it is you initially planted. Make sure you input the right ideas, influences, and information in order to produce the right outcomes. This means you must get around the best resources in order to get the best results. Surround yourself with books, coaches, and friends who will inspire growth, not stunt it.

2. Input At All Times

Innovative growth is a lifestyle, not an event. You can’t expect to cram ideas all at once in order to produce a quick result. You must be in a constant state of growth and learning that way you are able to let ideas marinate and incubate within your mind. Always carry a notebook or have some sort of digital system to capture your ideas and thoughts so they don’t disappear into nothing.

3. Input In Order To Output

Don’t just collect ideas and information, but do something with it. Being a reservoir does no good. Make sure you are more like a river flowing out into great opportunities. Too many people sit around thinking but never doing, planning but never producing, ideating but never innovating. Make sure you have an outlet for your ideas to be used. Get involved in opportunities that will open the door for your gifts and talents to shine.

Your output is only as good as your input. Never ever stop investing in yourself.
