Look Forward With Intention: Planning To Grow Into The Leader You Want To Be

Look Forward With Intention: Planning To Grow Into The Leader You Want To Be

The beginning of a new year isn’t just a fresh page—it’s a fresh mindset. A chance to not just set resolutions, but to create a leadership roadmap for your next level of growth.

Don’t let the new year catch you off guard. Step into it with focus and intentionality. Progress doesn’t happen by accident—it’s the result of planning, pushing, and purpose.

Ask yourself:

  • What are three areas of leadership I want to improve in this year?
  • Who do I need to become in order to lead at my highest level?
  • What habits, routines, or rhythms do I need to adopt to grow daily?

Leadership is like the bonsai tree—it doesn’t grow automatically. It grows when it’s planted in the right environment and shaped intentionally. You’ve got to prepare the soil, prune what no longer serves, and water what matters most.

Challenge yourself this year.

Stretch beyond your comfort zone.

Push to develop the hidden potential you haven’t tapped into yet.

Don’t just maintain—multiply.

And remember, growth doesn’t have to be dramatic to be effective. Sometimes, it’s about the 1% daily improvements that stack up into major transformations over time.

As you plan:

  • Write out your growth goals.
  • Schedule intentional time to reflect monthly.
  • Get around people who challenge and stretch your thinking.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need a clear direction and the courage to move forward.

Let’s finish strong and start stronger.

The best is yet to come.

Here’s to becoming the leader you have the potential to be.
