Life Coaching Tip: A Better Question

Life Coaching Tip: A Better Question

Life Coaching Tip: A Better Question

Life is full of challenges and obstacles. Sometimes it can feel like you are just stuck in the same place, no matter how hard you try to get yourself out. It’s easy to become lost when this happens, but all hope isn’t lost-you have a choice on what path your life will take next! A life coaching session with me via this article might be exactly what you need to find a better way forward.

We all want to know why certain things happen to us in life. Usually, we just really want to know why bad things happen. But the question, “why?” is a trap. It keeps us stuck in confusion and frustration many times. Over the years, I have seen many people who can’t seem to get beyond the why question. They feel if they just knew why, they would be able to move on, but again, it’s a trap that never takes us anywhere.

People want to know why…

  • Their spouse left them
  • They got fired from their job
  • The got a bad health report from the doctor
  • They are suffering from worthlessness
  • The list goes on and on…

I don’t think asking “why?” is a bad question; I just think there’s a better question. There is no forward motion from the “why” question. There is no answer many times as well. Many times we don’t really know why certain things happen in life. There is simply a better question that propels us forward into something actionable. Do you want to know the better question? Instead of asking, “Why did this happen?” We need to be asking:

“What Do I Do With What Has Happened?”

You see, there is an answer for that. There is a plan to do something from that. There is a future in that question. You can’t change what has happened, but you can change what you do with what has happened. So, instead of getting stuck with “why did this happen?” start moving forward with “what do I do with what has happened?”

When you commit to getting unstuck, you’ll begin to move forward into a greater future!

I hope this helps some of you today. I am for you and your future.
