4 Signs Your Season Has Ended
Hanging on when your season is over will diminish your impact. In fact, the longer you wait to move on, the longer your agony will prolong. We have to recognize that some seasons come to an end. But don’t worry, because what feels like an end is when a new season will begin.
Just like the earth moves in specific seasons, so our lives move in a seasonal rhythm. The secret to success is knowing what season you are in and knowing when that season has come to an end. When you operate in the right season, you’ll be operating at your best. We must understand our time…
Here are 4 signs to know your season is ending…
1) You’re Drained More Than You’re Renewed
When you are operating where you should be it will rejuvenate you. That’s not to say that you won’t get tired and drained at times, but if you are always drained by the duties that once fulfilled you, something may be coming to an end. When we are in our sweet spot we give…but it gives back to us filling our tank again and again. Burnout only happens when we are not enjoying what we are doing anymore.
2) You Find Yourself Doing As Little As Possible
If once you were gung-ho about going above and beyond but now you are cutting corners only to get by, it could be time to move on. When we are where we need to be we do more than is expected, but when we are not where we need to be we do as little as we can. If you find yourself unexcited about making what you do the best, but rather just the minimum, something is dying.
3) You Are Always Looking For Escapes
When we are not in the right season we always are looking for ways to escape our responsibilities. We start making excuses and justify the reasons why we can’t do what we used to do. Instead of being excited about doing what we once did, we now are always looking for doors to not do it. Escaping only leads to manipulation and excuses…over time you will be found out, so don’t delay your exit.
4) You Are Not Making An Impact
When you once were making a difference in what you did, now it seems to fall short. What once seemed like everything you did was working, now you are constantly feeling like your efforts are flat. What seemed somewhat easy at times, now is a huge task.
These are just a few signs that your season is coming to an end…or has ended, but you’re prolonging it. My encouragement to you is to not allow yourself to continue on when it’s time for something new and fresh. Don’t be afraid to step out even if you don’t know what will be yet. Your new season will be much more fruitful than what you’ve ever known, so don’t stay too long where you don’t need to be.
